Shelby Leigh Valentine Rentz, age 27, of Phoenix, AZ formerly of Belvidere, TN passed from this life on Saturday, November 13, 2021 at St. Joseph Hospital in Phoenix, AZ. She was born on June 5, 1994 in Tullahoma to Debbie Valentine and Joe Valentine. Shelby was a 2012 graduate of Huntland High School and attended Motlow Community College. She was a member of Journey Church in Winchester. Shelby worked at Wendy’s in Decherd and then for FedEx in Phoenix but the job she loved the most was taking care of her four children. She loved to go horseback riding in East Tennessee and enjoyed listening to Ariana Grande and Post Malone. Shelby will be remembered as outgoing and someone who never met a stranger. She is preceded in death by her grandfather, David Stephens; step-grandfather, Bill Miller; grandparents, John and Judy Chain; and stepfather, Alton Steele. Shelby is survived by her mother, Debbie Stephens Valentine of Belvidere; father, Joe (Carol) Valentine of Tullahoma; brother, Collin Valentine of Belvidere; step-sister, Haley (Ryan) Limbaugh of Decherd; husband, Matthew Rentz of Phoenix, AZ; children, Kaiden, Scarlett, Elizabeth and Millie Rentz all of Phoenix, AZ; grandmother, Frances Miller of Manchester; grandmother and grandfather, Karon and Dennis Acklen of Estill Springs; god mother Ronda Burch of Decherd; nieces, Ryley and Ella Limbaugh; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Visitation will be held from 12:00pm until 2:00pm on Saturday, November 20, 2021 at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. A celebration of life will immediately follow in the chapel of Moore-Cortner Funeral Home with Bro. Kelly May officiating.
