Each year, Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society focuses on a central honors study topic. This year’s topic is, To the Seventh Generation: Inheritance and Legacy.
The 2021 seminar will explore the opioid epidemic in Alabama. The seminar seeks to bring awareness to the causes and effects of the epidemic on our community as well as how to eliminate the stigma. Following the panel discussion, the audience will have an opportunity to ask the experts questions.
According to Pam Peters, advisor for the Alpha Zeta Iota Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa, “Our Phi Theta Kappa officers are very passionate about this topic and excited about the upcoming forum,” said Peters. “They have worked hard to organize this panel of experts to bring awareness to the opioid epidemic and to have a positive impact on our community.”
