Mr. Marlon “Marty” Keith Jackson, age 55, passed away November 4, 2021 at Shepards Cove Hospice.
Mr. Jackson was born on November 23, 1965 in Marshall County, Alabama to the late Melvin Bruce Jackson and the late Emma Mae Shaver Jackson. He grew up in Albertville, AL and became a resident of Arab in the early 90’s. Mr. Jackson worked for the City of Arab in the Public Works department before becoming disabled. He enjoyed fishing and going to trade day. He loved his nieces and nephews and was an avid Alabama Crimson Tide fan.
Mr. Jackson leaves behind to celebrate his life; son, Brandon Wayne Jackson; daughter, Sara “Cassie” Bushong; brother, Mitch Jackson; sisters, Melva Helms (Joe), Marsha Jackson, Kimberly Davis (Eric); as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
Mr. Jackson is preceded in death by his loving parents.
A visitation will take place at the Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel on Monday – November 8, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. with service beginning at 11:00 a.m. with interment to follow at Mt. Olive Cemetery in Union Grove, AL. with Bro. Joel Helms, officiating.
Pallbearers escorting Mr. Marty Jackson to his final resting place will be: David Lee Shaver, Ian Davis, Chris Christian, Adam Christian and Wyatt Adams.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made directly to the family of Mr. Jackson for cost of funeral services.
