Jean Davis Snead died October 26, 2021, at Huntsville Hospital. She was born on December 18, 1931, in Wynne, Arkansas to Roy and Ruby Davis. Jean was one of five children.

Following her graduation from high school in Wynne, AR in 1949, Jean worked for the FBI in Washington DC. Jean married Charles “Sam” Snead on July 28, 1951. They had one son, Charles “Chuck” Snead in 1958. In 1960, they moved to Huntsville, AL. Jean worked in banking for 23 years as a corporate secretary and vice president until retiring in 1996. She was
a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Huntsville.

Jean was preceded in death by her parents, her sisters, Elaine Thomas and Eloise Roberts, brother, Roy “Sonny” Davis; her husband of 70 years, Sam, who died the day before Jean. She leaves behind a sister, Rosemary Bullard (Bill) and numerous nieces and nephews. Jean is survived by her son Charles “Chuck” Snead (Lisa) and her three grandchildren, Davis
Snead, Taylor Snead and Maggie Snead. She was “Grammy” to her grandkids and loved to give gifts to them and hear about all that was going on in their lives.

Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday, October 29 at Laughlin Service Funeral Home. The funeral will follow in the chapel with Rev. Mac Buttram officiating. A private burial will
follow.
