Gayle Sandlin Hayes age 80 of Hartselle, passed away peacefully at her residence surrounded by her family Sunday, October 10, 2021. A visitation will be held Wednesday, October 13, 2021 from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM at Peck Funeral Home with a graveside service be held at 1:00 PM at Herring Cemetery. She is preceded in death by 3 brothers, Reubin Sandlin, Hugh Sandlin, and Roger Sandlin of Hartselle, AL; 4 sisters, Reba Sandlin Cathers of Huntsville, Al., Brenda Fay Sandlin of Hartselle, Al., Eloise Sandlin Dutka of Portland, Organ, and Ruth Sandlin Dorney of Fort Wayne, IN. She is survived by her sister, Martha Sandlin Dutka of Johnson City, TN; son, Michael Hayes (Candi), daughters, Sherri Hayes Haynes (Don), Terri Hayes McClure (Stanley); granddaughter, Chasity Bryant Boehm (Donald) and grandson, Matthew Bryant (Ashley). Gayle made a career at Hartselle Utilities and retired August 31, 2000. She then went back part-time for 6 more years. She also worked for son, Mike Hayes at Rodeo’s Garage. She loved the Lord and loved her children her whole life. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a memorial donation in Gayle’s name to Cedar Plains Christian Church 930 Cedar Plains Rd.
