Funeral Services for Mrs. Lisa Tucker, age 67 of Lineville, will be Monday, September 6, 2021 at Benefield Funeral Home in Lineville at 12:00 P.M. with Bro. James Hendrix officiating. Burial will follow at Bethel North Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Tucker passed away on Thursday, September 2, 2021 at the Clay County Hospital. Mrs. Tucker was born in Anniston, lived in Powder Springs, Georgia and the surrounding areas for a large number of years, before settling in Lineville around 25 years ago. She worked as a secretary for most of her adult life, while also working some years at Wellborn Cabinets. Mrs. Tucker as an avid Alabama Football fan, enjoyed working in her yard and gardening, and also was an aspiring painter and loved arts and crafts. She enjoyed riding with her son Michael in his big trucks, and sometimes rode motorcycles, specifically in the side by side car attached to the motorcycle. She was a loving and caring wife, mother, and grandmother.
She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Jimmy Tucker of Lineville; two daughters: Julie Carter (Rodney) of Franklin, TN, and Crystal Moorman (Michael) of Savannah, GA; one son, Michael Tucker (Tosha) of Ashland; 11 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren; and a large extended family.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Cecil Barney Smith and Elizabeth Frances Smith; one granddaughter, Chaylan Tucker, and 6 brothers and sisters.
Conner Tucker, Wesley Norred, Billy Carr, Wesley Sparks, Rodney Carter, and Tony Puleo will serve as pallbearers.
A visitation will take place on Sunday, September 5, 2021 at Benefield Funeral Home in Lineville from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and up until service time on Monday at 12:00 P.M.
