Shelana Mae Dorn, age 44, passed away on Sunday, August 22, 2021 at Marshall Medical Center North.
Shelana was born on July 31, 1977 to Kennieth Dorn and Connie Dorn in Arab, Alabama. She worked at Frogg Toggs and served as the production and logistics manager. Shelana was very active in the Arab community assisting with the Titans Pee Wee Cheer and Dana’s Dance for the last nine years. She was a member of Sweet Home Baptist Church and served as the children’s Sunday school teacher for over five years.
In addition to her parents, Shelana was survived by her brother, Kennieth Dorn; sister, Amanda Dorn; daughter, Serenity Dorn; son, Collin Dorn; niece, Taylor Brosemer; uncles, Terry Denney, Larry Dorn and Mel Dorn; extended brother and sister, David Carr and Ashley Carr. She is preceded in death by her brother, Heath Dorn; sister-in-law, Cristina Walker.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. – Thursday, August 26, 2021 at Sweet Home Baptist Church, Bro. Tim Lynch will officiate with burial to follow at New Canaan Cemetery.
Pallbearers will include, Shane Aldridge, Mardy McDonald, Robbie Phillips, David Carr, John Nunley and Keaton Will.
The family will receive friends at the church prior to the service on Thursday, August 26, 2021 from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm.
