Albert Cleveland Monroe, 81, of Iuka, MS, died Saturday, August 21, at his residence. Mr. Monroe was a member of First Christian Church in Florence, AL, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and music. He loved fish fries and time spent with family, as well as farming and yard work. He is survived by his wife, Pam Monroe; two sons, Shane Monroe (Angela) and Alan Smith (Risa); a brother, Austin Monroe; a sister, Shelby Crum; his grandchildren, Layton, Chris, Curtis, Crystal, and Cody; and his dog, Bella. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Emmitt and Earline Steward Monroe; a son, Jim Monroe; a daughter, Deborah Monroe; and a brother, Noel Monroe. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements. Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 25, graveside at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, officiated by Rev. Cameron Douglas. Interment will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers include Layton Monroe, Jamie Stuart, Phil Kirk, Randy Stringer, Jessie Dexter, J. J. Glidewell, Dale Aldridge, and Ricky Cornelison. Visitation is scheduled for 5:00 until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 24, at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
