Jessie Louetta Kirby Scott, age 82 of Dora, passed away Friday, August 20, 2021 at Brookwood Medical Center in Birmingham. Louetta was born in Texas on October 20, 1938 to the late Jessie Lee and Ovie Louetta Taylor Kirby.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, David Scott; and her siblings, George Kirby, Jonnie Reich, and Ira Kirby.
She is survived by her husband, Charles T. Scott; a daughter, Bethany Haun and her husband Jimmy; grandchildren, James Haun and Makayla Haun; a great grandchild, Jacob Burr; two brothers, Robert Earl Kirby and his wife, Ruby and Charles Ray Kirby and his wife, Lynda; and two sisters, Norma Gafford and Stella Gafford and her husband, Mike; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 24, at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Bell Funeral Home. Visitation will be Tuesday, at the funeral home from 1:00 until service time at 2:00. Burial will follow in Free Will Cemetery with Paul Hicks officiating.
