Jimmy Dale Johnson, 71 of Athens, Alabama died Saturday, August 14, 2021 in Athens.
Services will be 3pm Tuesday at Spry Funeral Home Chapel in Athens with David Cox officiating, burial in Limestone Memorial Gardens.
Visitation is from 1pm until service Tuesday at Spry Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Ethan Johnson, Bryson Johnson, Bart Nave, Rusty Brand, Rudy Johnson and Walker Brand.
Mr. Johnson was born November 14, 1949 in Limestone County, he was a member of Market Street church of Christ and he was retired from Athens City Board of Education.
Survivors: Sons: Shane Johnson of Elkmont and Heath Johnson of Athens; Brother: Danny Johnson of Athens; Sister: Wanda Nave of Athens; Five Grandchildren.

I will always remember Jimmy as a great friend.We were neighbors when we were young and spent many happy hours playing together. RIP my friend.
