Beulah Marie Lisby, 91, of Madison AL passed away peacefully August 1st, 2021. Born December 31, 1929 in Florence, AL. She was the 5th of 10 children born to Arthur and Hester Lee.
Early in life she worked at Peggy Ann Bakery and later retired from the Madison County School system. She married James Hollis Cox in 1945. They spent much of their life together traveling from state to state while he worked the pipe line. They had three children, Linda Gail Wallace, Roy Hollis Cox and Sharon Ann Brazelton. James passed away October 24, 1957 Beulah later married Ned Lisby January 30, 1964. He preceded her in death October 24, 1989 Beulah is preceded in death by siblings Pearly Arnold, Ruby Thompson, Robert Lee, William Lee, Ester Poarch, Carl Lee and granddaughter Shannon Gibbs.
She survived by siblings Elnora Jones, JT Lee and Elizabeth Brewer and her children, Linda Gail Wallace, Roy Hollis Cox, and Sharon Ann Brazelton (James), along with numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at Legacy Chapel Funeral Home in Madison, Al.
Visitation will be Wednesday August 4th from 12:00pm-1:00pm. Services will follow at 1pm, Brother Jerome Hillard of Midway Baptist Church will be officiating.
