Henry Luke GipsonHenry Luke Gipson, age 78 of Decherd, passed away on Sunday, July 25, 2021 at his residence. A native of Franklin County, he was born on September 9, 1942 to the late, Roy L. and Ethel Long Gipson. He was employed for many years as designer for commercial boats, working for Venture Boats, Procraft, and Hydrosports. Henry was a member of the Masonic lodge, and loved to go hunting and fishing back in his younger days. More recently he loved to spend time with his grandchildren and tend to his animals and homestead. Henry was a wonderful provider for his family and will always be remembered for being a loving father, grandfather, and devoted husband. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife, Alice Faye Tucker Gipson; and sister, Opal Marie Partin. He is survived by his daughter Kimberly (William) Waldow of Winchester; granddaughter, Angeleah (Casey) Cordova of Memphis; grandson, Bryce Waldow, of Winchester; great-grandson, Abram Cordova; sister, Ina Faye Gainer of Ohio; host of nieces and nephews; and 4 legged best friend, Rolian. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM – 8:00PM, Wednesday, July 28, 2021 at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 1:00 PM Thursday, July 29, 2021 at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home.
