Carlos “Frank” Nichols, Jr., age 91 of Winchester, passed from this life on Monday, July 19, 2021 at Southern Tennessee Medical Center. He was born on July 19, 1930 in Marion, Alabama to the late Carlos and Eudora Nichols, Sr. Mr. Nichols is a veteran of the United States Navy and worked in production planning and purchasing for Shaw Industries. On September 1, 1985 he married his best friend Dorothy “Dot” Nichols at the First United Methodist Church in Winchester. During this union they traveled to Israel, England, Scotland, Wales, Canada, Bahamas, Florida, Chicago, Texas, Arizona and Utah. Mr. Nichols was a faithful and devoted member of the First United Methodist Church in Winchester.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Nichols is preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy “Dot” Nichols. He is survived by his daughter, Regina (David) Myers of Decherd; sons, Carlos (Lori) Nichols of Decherd and Bryan Nichols of Justin, Texas; grandchildren, Cody (Meher) Williams, Charles Nichols, John Nichols, Brandon Nichols, and Ryan Nichols; great-grandchildren, Kayleigh Marie Nichols, Anna Bella Nichols, and James Aaron Nichols.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, July 24, 2021 at 2:00PM at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home with Rev. Darrell Day officiating. Visitation will be held from 12:00PM until the time of service at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Gardens with Military Honors rendered.
