Lola Jane Salter, 87, of Haleyville, Alabama entered into rest on July 21, 2021 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.
Mrs. Salter was born on May 24, 1934. She lived in Haleyville her whole life. She loved being a wife to the love of her life, Linden. Together, they loved to celebrate Christmas. She worked odd jobs, but her favorite one was being a housewife. Her favorite hobbies were cooking, cleaning house, and planting flowers.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 25, 2021 from 12pm-2pm at Nichols Funeral Home in Haleyville, where services will be held at 2pm. Her nephew, Royce Brimer, will officiate. Burial will follow in Winston Memorial Cemetery in Haleyville, Alabama.
Lola is survived by her son, Noel (Vicki) Salter; daughter, Patricia (Paul) Dockery; sister, Freda Brimer; brother, Jerry Harris; grandchildren, Scotty Salter, Brandi Crumpton, Shannon Salter, Jaybrinia Martinez; great-grandchildren, Jessica, Jennifer, Jon Bradey, Baylie, Tyler, Tanner, Kiara; great-great-grandchildren, Tosha, Sophie, Gabriel, Landon.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Linden Salter; infant daughter, Brenda; parents, Jasper and Lowie Harris; sisters, Gertrude, Bea, Leoni; brothers, RC, Huel, Wallace, Henry.
