Willie Wilson Howard Willie Wilson Howard, 91, of Huntsville, passed away Tuesday. He was born in Aulander, NC to Ethel Upton and Willie Howard. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife of 70 years, Gladys J. Howard.

Survivors include his son, Mike Howard (Jan); daughters, Angie McKenzie (Tom), and Diane Howard (Dean); grandchildren, Taylor Howard (Stephanie), Kimberly Norfleet (Jaron), Anna Albritton (Will), Chris Howard (Erin), and Ashley Howard; and seven great-grandchildren.

Willie served in the US Army. After being honorably discharged, he moved to Huntsville and worked as an Air Traffic Control Specialist for the FAA at the Huntsville International Airport for over 30 years.

After retirement, he and Gladys enjoyed riding the backroads of the country, looking for antiques, listening to Gospel and Bluegrass music.

He never let anyone leave without giving them a big hug and saying, “God bless you”.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 1 at Maple Hill Cemetery.
