Joanne HubbardJoanne (Jobe) Hubbard was born January 23rd, 1935, in New Market, AL to Grady and Annie Lee (Hallman) Jobe. Joanne’s time on this earth ended on June 25th, 2021, at the age of 86. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Clyde Harold, and her unborn great-grand twins. Joanne married Guy Hubbard, originally from Fort Laramie, Wyoming, in her parents’ New Market home on May 12th, 1963, and together they made Huntsville their home for 58 years.

Over the many years Joanne pursued her love for music, painting, and maybe most of all gardening. Her greatest love on this earth was reserved for family. She was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt. She truly enjoyed spending time with friends, both new and old. Many friends were made during both of her times of employment with NASA, the first time was just before it officially became “NASA”.

Joanne is survived by husband, Guy, son, Randall (Tiffeny); granddaughter, Kristen; grandson; Joshua (Laura); great-grandson, Lucas; great-granddaughter, Abbigail; great- grand child number three due in September; brother, Sherman (Joyce); and nephew, Eric.

A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 3rd at Maple Hill Cemetery. Friends are welcome as they are able. Rev. Robert Sparkman, Senior Pastor of Latham United Methodist Church senior pastor will officiate. For those attending the service, please gather at Maple Hill approximately 20 minutes early to allow for an informal time of visitation.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Huntsville’s CASA -Transportation Service.
