Marty R. Montgomery, 63, of Athens, passed away on Tuesday, June 15th, 2021, at his residence. Mr. Montgomery was born on September 10th, 1957, to John Montgomery and Lawson Farris Montgomery.
Mr. Montgomery is survived by his son K.B. Montgomery (Elizabeth); grandchildren Madelyn Montgomery and Sawyer Montgomery; sister Trudy Moore (Billy Wayne); nieces Amanda Caldwell and Amelia Walls (Jason).
Preceded in death by his parents and his aunt Lucille Montgomery.
Funeral services for Mr. Montgomery will be Friday, June 18th, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home, with Doug Fields officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 10:00 a.m. – 10:50 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Reunion Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ashton Caldwell, Aiden Caldwell, Jason Walls, Dale Bailey, Donald King, and Stanley McMunn.
Mr. Montgomery dearly loved his kids and grandkids. He was an avid collector and enjoyed Mule Day and working with his horses and cows.
