Marjorie Burleson Dickson Watson, 97, of Owens Cross Roads, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday.
She was preceded in death by parents, James Bennett Burleson, Sr. and Angela Sibley Burleson, great-granddaughter, Ansley Cochran, sister, Betty Varnadore and brothers, Carl Burleson and James “J.B.” Burleson, Jr.
Surviving are son, Bobby J. (Joyce) Dickson, second son, Benny (Sissy) Burleson, granddaughters, Kelly Dickson Harter, Phyllis Atkins and Donna Cochran, great-granddaughter, Ashtyn Smith, great-grandsons, Joseph Ice and David Ice, sisters, Gladys Reeves and Martha Thompson, and many nieces & nephews.
Visitation will be Saturday 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at New Hope Funeral Home. Services will follow at 12:00 pm with Bro. Harold Kelly and Bro. Paddy Flanagan officiating. Pallbearers will be Marc Burleson, Chris Lewter, Joey Parker, Russell Saylor, Charlie Williams, Garland Elders.
Interment will be in the Roselawn Cemetery in Decatur.
