Margaret Evelyn Foshee Steele, age 91 of Winchester, passed away on Tuesday, May 11, 2021 at St. Thomas Rutherford in Murfreesboro. Margaret was born in Stevenson, Alabama on February 1, 1930 to the late Andrew Jackson and Annie Blanche (Evans) Foshee. Before her retirement, she had been employed for over twenty years at Armstrong Carpet Mill. Margaret enjoyed working in her flower and tomato gardens, reading, and traveling to visit her friends and family. She was a dedicated member of New Center Grove Church of Christ. Margaret will be remembered for her kind and loving nature. She loved everyone and everyone loved her. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jake Thomas Steele; daughter, Christie Lynn Butler; and siblings, Ruth Ray, Andrew Foshee Jr, Minnie Dent, Ruby Chitwood, and Ola Mae Morris. Margaret is survived by her loving children, Jackie (Susan) Steele of Murfreesboro, and Thomas Ray Steele of Winter Haven, Florida; grandchildren, Sherilyn Steele, Brandy Steele, J.B. Davis, J.J. Steele, Joshua Davis, James T. Steele, Amanda Graves, Deta Cunningham, and Dana Grammar; great-grandchildren, Kyra, Katelyn, Jackson, Gabriel, Abigale, Mia, Tristan, Ellie, Issac, Ilana, Justin, and Matthew; great-great-granddaughter, Elliott Rose; and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 1-3 pm on Friday, May 14, 2021 at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow at 3:00 pm in the Moore-Cortner Chapel with Bro. Byron Lawrence officiating.
