Janice Shaffer, age 79, of Lawrenceburg, TN passed away Sunday, May 09, 2021, at her residence. She was a native of Lawrenceburg, TN, retired Judicial Assistant for the State of Tennessee, and a member of First United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William James and Rachel Allen Wilburn; her husband, Kenneth Shaffer; and one brother, Bob Wilburn.
She is survived by two sons, William Timothy Shaffer (Kristy) of Crestview, FL and Chris Shaffer (April) of Lawrenceburg, TN ; three grandchildren, Chipper Shaffer, Sarah Waldron (Kyle), and Elizabeth Shaffer; one brother, John Wilburn (Susan) of Nashville, TN; and sister-in-law, Mary Wilburn of IL.
Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. A private graveside service will be conducted at Mimosa Cemetery in Lawrenceburg, TN with Chad Moore officiating. The family suggests memorials be made to Friends of Lawrence County Animals (FOLCA).
