Barbara Ann Barrett Reaves passed away on May 1, 2021. She was born in Birmingham, Alabama on February 4, 1935 and graduated from Waco High School in Waco Texas. Barbara married Joseph Reaves of Birmingham, in May of 1952 after he completed basic training for the Air Force and the two celebrated 64 wonderful years of marriage together. They had two children and eventually moved to Huntsville where Barbara worked for 17 years in the Huntsville School System. She was an active member of the First United Methodist Church of Huntsville and enjoyed collecting antiques. Barbara loved spending time with her family and especially loved her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph; parents, Rollen and Genevie Barrett; and brother, Rollen Barrett, Jr. Survivors include son, Joel of Huntsville; daughter, Debbie Hall (Richard) of Harvest; grandchildren, Marianne Hall Goodlin (Ryan) and David Hall (Chandra) and four great-grandchildren
There will be a graveside service 1:00 p.m. Friday, May 7th, at Maple Hill. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church of Huntsville’s nursery.
