David Edward Broadway, age 78 of Elkmont, passed away Tuesday April 13, 2021, at his home.
There will be a graveside service held at 2:00pm on Friday April 16, 2021, at Athens Memory Gardens, with Bro. Toney Wales, and Bro. Mitchell McCormick officiating.
Mr. Broadway was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church in Elkmont, and he loved Alabama football.
He is survived by his son, David Broadway, Jr., and his wife Beverly, of Athens; daughter Kara Hawkins, and her husband Brent, of Elkmont; grandchildren, Coulter Broadway and his wife Rachel, Bodie Hawkins, and his wife Beth, and Sloan Hawkins and his wife Hannah; five great-grandchildren; and his brother, Carlos Broadway, of Elkmont.
Mr. Broadway is preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Broadway; parents, Buford and Avis Broadway, and infant brother, Doris Broadway.
Pallbearers will be Coulter Broadway, Brent Hawkins, Bodie Hawkins, Sloan Hawkins, Darrell Holt, and Carlos “Bubba” Broadway.
