M. L. Wilhelm, aged 95, passed away on April 13, 2021 in Louisville, Kentucky. He lived most of his life in New Hope. His wife, Ruby Maples Wilhelm preceded him in death in 2016. His parents, Alonza Wilhelm, his mother Mattie Smith Wilhelm, his “mama” Annie Woody Wilhelm, and his siblings Nancy, Hollene, Raymond, Frances and Donald also preceded him in death.
He is survived by his son, Mickey Wilhelm (Pat), and daughter Debra Bliss (Kent), four grand children, Rachel Hansen (Jim), Daniel Wilhelm, Stephen Bliss, and John Bliss (Kayleigh), three great grand children, Clayton and Avery Hansen, and Beckett Bliss, sisters-in-law Jean Brooks and Shirley Bentley, and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 9:00 to 11:00 am on Tuesday, April 20, followed immediately by a funeral service beginning at 11:00 am at the Chapel of New Hope Funeral Home. Interment will be in Hayden Cemetery.
