Earlene Scott, 92 of Arab passed away Saturday, March 20, 2021, at her residence. Earlene was born July 15, 1928 in Cullman County the daughter of Howard Tipton and Bertie Brown Tipton. She worked at Blue Bell for 42 years before her retirement and was a member of New Harmony Baptist Church. She was married to the late Alfred Scott for 62 years at the time of his death December 1, 2012.
Earlene is survived by her Son: Marty Scott (Tressa); Granddaughter: Melinda Collier (Phillip); Great Grandchildren: Anniston, Ridge and Tripp; Step Grandchildren: Stacy Bickerstaff, Chris Bickerstaff (Jessica), Bruce Bickerstaff (Mary); Step Great Grandchildren: Payton, Ashley, Ethan, Addison, Landon, Ryker, Lakyn, Crispin, McKenzie, Marissa, Cole, Colton, Madison and Braxton; Step Great Great Grandchild: Remington. She was preceded in death by Husband: Alfred Scott; Parents: Howard and Bertie Tipton; Sister: Arnice Stone; Brother: Conored Tipton.
Funeral Service will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 23, 2021, at New Harmony Baptist Church with Junior Plunkett officiating. She will lie-in-state at the church from 12:00 p.m. until service time at 1:00 p.m. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Chris Bickerstaff, Chris Tipton, Donnie Marion, Eugene Plunkett, Kenneth Plunkett and Tim Minor.
Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Monday at Gober Funeral Chapel.
