Carroll Howell Grilliot, known by all as ‘Cricket’, passed away March 3, 2021 in Huntsville, AL. He was born in Cincinnati, Ohio to the late Hubert Joseph and Kathryn Howell Grilliot. Cricket was also preceded in death by his wife, Helen and sister, Annette Furlong. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts from the Memphis Art Academy and his masters at Alabama A&M. Cricket was a gifted artist in many mediums, but most recognized for his work in pottery, original glazes, and firing techniques.

He is celebrated by his brother, Earl Grilliot (Sherron); nieces, Jennifer Middleton (Chris) and Lara Satterfield (Chris); nephew, Matthew Grilliot (Amy); and nine great nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. Saturday, March 13, 2021, at St. Thomas Episcopal Church, 12200 Bailey Cove Road, Huntsville, AL with a memorial service following at 3:00 p.m. You may join virtually by signing in at www.stthomashuntsville.org
