Dorothy “Dot” Davis Eskew, age 91, of Ashland City, passed away Tuesday, March 2, 2021 at Vantage Pointe Healthcare. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 6, 2021 at 11am in the chapel of the Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Springfield with Dr. Bruce Grubbs and Brother Russ Noss officiating. Burial will follow in the Springfield Memorial Gardens with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday, March 5, 2021 from 4-7pm and again on Saturday from 9am until the hour of service at 11am.
Mrs. Eskew was born March 28, 1929 in Springfield to the late William Clarence and Frances Morris Brown. She worked as an Inspector at Acme Boot for 20 years and was a member of the Eastland Heights Baptist Church. She loved reading mystery novels, cooking working puzzles, watching television, and especially her family.
In addition to her parents Mrs. Eskew is preceded in death by her husband, Douglas Ray Eskew, sister, Ruby Brown, and brothers, Jo Brown and William “Son” Brown. She is survived by her children, Vicki and Gary Watts of Springfield, Donna Gayle and Donald Killom of Springfield and Dicki and Betty Eskew of Cedar Hill; brother, John H. Brown of Memphis; grandchildren, Brian (Heather) Watts, Kevin (Shannon) Watts and Heather N. Hale; 8 great-grandchildren; and a host of loving friends and extended family.
