Funeral Services for Mr. Gerald L. “Bud” Moore, age 70 of Lineville, were held on Sunday, February 14, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. at Providence Baptist Church (Guntertown) with Rev. Greg Adams officiating. Burial will take place at Hopeful Baptist Church Cemetery in Munford.
Mr. Moore passed away on Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at his home. Born in Munford, Mr. Moore graduated from Clay County High School and worked for Georgia Pacific in Talladega for 29 years until his retirement. He was a good family man, who loved the Lord. He enjoyed fishing and was a deacon and member of Providence Baptist Church in Guntertown, Alabama.
Mr. Moore is survived by his wife of 47 years, Deb Moore of Lineville; two daughters: Sonia Moore (Jerry Rhodes) of Bowden, GA and Candy Williams (Ricky Lee) of Ashland; one son, Gerald Moore (Jennifer) of Lineville; 13 grandchildren; one sister, Linda Sue Mitchell (Houston) of Lineville; 9 brothers: Terry Moore (Mary), and Jerry Moore (Mary Alice), both of Lineville, Howard Moore of Hackneyville, Phillip Moore (Nancy) and Steve Moore, both of Talladega; Michael Moore (Mindy), Glen Moore (Kim), and David Moore, all of Ashland, and Jewell Moore (Alice) of Oxford; and a large extended family.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Jewell Franklin Moore and Helen Gray Stephens Moore, and three brothers: Randy, Tony, and Danny Moore.
Active Pallbearers will be Austin Mattox, Anthony Mattox, Waylon Moore, Joshua Haynes, Hunter Moore, and Jesse Hochstedler
Honorary Pallbearers will be Peter Twymon, Aaron Mitchell, Buford Moore, and Jason Smith.
