ALEA Reports Icy Roads In Some Areas UPDATED 3:50 PM

QUAD CITIES

Colbert County EMA has deemed all county roads impassable. All state and federal roads have icy conditions.

Franklin County EMA has deemed all roads in the county impassable.

Lauderdale County –All roads have icy roadway conditions.

Lawrence County – All roads have icy roadway conditions.

HAMILTON

I-22 has had several wrecks and conditions are icy. Troopers are advising that conditions are deteriorating on the west side of I22.

 Walker County’s Gamble Mine Road and Red Mill Saragossa Road intersection is flooding.

 Winston County Commission has deemed all county roads impassable. All state and federal roads have icy conditions.

 

TENNESSEE VALLEY-On Monday, February 15 the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency has issued a report on the condition of some roads for the Quad Cites and Hamilton:

“The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency received notice that the following counties within the Quad Cities Post have been reported to have bridges iced over or have icy areas. Alabama Highway 133 from the Singing River Bridge to Veterans Drive in Colbert County, U.S. Highway 43 and Alabama Highway 24 in Franklin County, Alabama Highway 157 and Alabama Highway 20 in Lauderdale County, Alabama Highway 101 and Alabama Highway 20 at Town Creek, Alabama Highway 33 in the Mill Pond area in Lawrence County.

The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency received notice that the following counties within the Hamilton Post have been reported to have bridges iced over or have icy areas along them. Alabama Highway 17 in the Sulligent area in Lamar County, Interstate 22, and U.S. Highway 43 in the Hackleburg area in Marion County.

ALEA will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates accordingly.”
