Mr. Charles Asa Grizzard of Arab, Alabama; passed away in the late evening of Wednesday – January 27, 2021 at the age of 78.
Mr. Grizzard was born on July 27, 1942 to Claude Grizzard and Bessie Cora Peterson Grizzard. Mr. Grizzard worked at a salesman for the retail industry in his earlier years. He proudly served his country in the United States National Guard. He was a member of the New Brashiers Chapel Church in Arab, Alabama.
Mr. Grizzard leaves behind to reminisce and celebrate his life; son, Jeff Grizzard (Gwen Miller); daughter, Serina Grizzard Matteson; sister, Nellie Grizzard; grandchildren, Nathan Grizzard, Lindsay Grizzar, Daniel Meinert (Ashley), Anna Meinert Doaks (Jeremy); great grandchild, J.J. Doaks.
In addition to his beloved parents; Claude Grizzard and Bessie Cora Peterson Grizzard; Mr. Grizzard is at last reunited with his wife; Linda Shirley Grizzard; sons, Anthony Grizzard and brother, Robert Grizzard.
A visitation will take place at the Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel on Saturday – January 30, 2021 from 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.
A Graveside Service and burial will be held on Saturday – January 30, 2-021 at the Diamond Cemetery in Warrenton, Alabama at 2:30 p.m. with Reverend Mike Shirley, officiating.
