Robert Edwin Landers,72, of Phil Campbell. Mr. Landers was born December 11, 1948. He was a 1967 graduate of Phil Campbell High School and member of Chigger Hill Freewill Baptist Church. He was a graduate of Athens State University and University of North Alabama where he received his degree in education.
Mr. Landers retired from Bevil State Community College where he was a computer instructor.
He is survived by his wife Dianne Landers, son Jason (Lynn), daughter Emily Rice (Danny), grandchildren, Alaina Williams (Mikey), Andrew Landers, Dylan Rice (Jessica), Aaron Landers, Carly West (Dylan), Jay Grissom, great grandchildren Drake and Raven. Sisters, Delsene Berry, Alice Frye (Scott), Gwen Anderson (John), father inlaw Bee Borden, brother and sister inlaws Mason & Martha Smith, and Donald and Jean Borden.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Benjamin Landers and Alice Estelle Yocom Landers, brothers Hulust, Leo, JM and Bobby, sisters Loiuse, Marie, Kathleen, Margie and Jo.
Pallbearers will be Andrew Landers, Dylan Rice, Aaron Landers, Clint Smith, Matt Smith, and Brett Borden. Honorary pallbearer will be Leo Pinkard.
There will be a private service for family with Bro Darren Steward officiating. Due to Covid-19 the family asks for all services to be private.
