Emily E. “MiMi” Nelson, 80, of Gurley, passed away Tuesday.
MiMi was preceded in death by parents, William and Gertrude Nelson; 7 brothers, Arthur, Johnny, Richard, Raymond, Robert, David and Billy Nelson; 3 sisters, Nancy Holcomb, Bessie Wells, Nona Anderton; and Fiancé Nelton Hillis.
Surviving are sister, Wanda (Katie) Allbert; special remembrance with Chris Nelson and family, The Ammann’s family, Samantha Hopkins and family, Karen Campbell and family, The Lanier family; a host of other nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Friday 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at New Hope Funeral Home. Services will be held at New Hope Funeral Home Chapel, Saturday at 1:00 pm with Rev. Scott Webb officiating.
Interment will be in the Green Valley Cemetery.
