Michael Ray Edwards, age 63 from Winchester, passed away on Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Illinois on February 27, 1957. Before his retirement, Michael worked as a contractor, and he particularly enjoyed carpentry work. He was an ordained minister and loved the Lord with all of his might. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed fishing and camping. But most of all he enjoyed spending time with his beloved family. Michael was preceded in death by his father, Ralph Edwards Sr; and son, James “Jimmy” Clark. He is survived by his loving wife, Joyce Edwards of Winchester; children, Pete (Myrtle) Clark of Winchester, Bobby (Vicky) Clark of Winchester, Kim (Robbie) Payne of Decherd, Ronda (Kerry) Burch of Decherd, Michael (Kim) Smith of Winchester, Austin Edwards of Winchester, and Destiny Edwards of Winchester; daughter-in-law, Amy (Tim) Sons of Winchester; mother, Betty Edwards of Winchester; siblings, Ralph (Marty) Edwards Jr of Decherd, John Charles Edwards Sr of Winchester, Susan Edwards of Decherd, Peggy Ramos of Winchester, and Ann Campbell of Winchester; nineteen grandchildren; twenty-three great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and a host of nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 5-8 pm on Thursday, December 17, 2020 at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, December 18, 2020 in the Moore-Cortner Chapel with Pastor Stacy Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Farris Chapel Cemetery.
