William Edward McGee William Edward McGee, age 86 of Winchester, passed away on Wednesday, December 16, 2020 at Boulevard Terrace Rehab in Murfreesboro. A native of Franklin County, he was born on January 4, 1934 to the late Lawson Ernest and Fannie Irene (Asher) McGee. Prior to his retirement, Ed was passionate about his farm work and tending to his beef and dairy cows. He also was a bus driver for Moore County Schools for many years. Ed was a dedicated member of Riva Lake Baptist Church. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing and hunting, as well as making people laugh. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, infant sister Geneva McGee, Lucille Smith, Vera Benton, Anna Birdsong, Ralph McGee, and Willard McGee. Ed is survived by his loving wife of sixty-one years, Ophelia McGee of Winchester; daughter, Edwina McGee of Winchester; and siblings, Hubert McGee of Winchester, Eva Sneed of Clarksville, Betty Shockley of Belvidere, Opal Hartog of Indiana, Rita Langston of Winchester, Peggy Kennedy of Winchester, Gail Smith of Winchester, and Wayne McGee of Winchester. Private family services will be held with burial at Mulberry Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, South Central Tennessee Office, 309 North Jackson St, Tullahoma, TN 37388, or your favorite charity.
