James David Pylant 82, of Ardmore, AL died Monday, December 14, 2020 at his residence surrounded by his family.
Born Wednesday, March 30, 1938 in Limestone County, AL, he was the son of Eldie Lee Pylant, Sr. and Katie Belle Barnes Pylant.
Mr. David retired from 3M after 34 years and 3 months of service. He enjoyed his children and grandchildren and great grandchildren. He also enjoyed farming.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Eldie Lee Pylant, Jr; and sister, Reba Reyer.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley M. Pylant, Ardmore, AL; son, Bradley Lynn Pylant, Elkmont, AL; daughters, Brenda Carol Pylant Clark, Ardmore, AL, Pamela Pylant Keenum (Joel), Athens, AL, and Lorrie Pylant Hallmark (Riley), Ardmore, AL; brother, Jerry (Polly) Pylant, Ardmore, AL; sister, Shirley (Junior) Nash, Ardmore, AL; 8 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and several step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a special great-niece, Becca Pylant Spidel, Elkmont,AL.
A Public Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 16, 2020 at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm.
A Graveside Service will follow at Gatlin Cemetery at 3:00 PM.
Due to the Covid-19 and The Statewide Mandate, Mask will be required and must be worn at all times when entering the building and while in the funeral home. Also, must practice 6 ft social distancing.
