Mr. George Robert, better known as Bob, Jones, passed away December 16, 2020 at Dekalb Regional Medical Center. Mr. Jones was born on October 12, 1942 to the late George Henry and Gladys Barkley Jones. He was a self employed farmer and was well known for his handling of cattle. He was a member of the Baraca Class at First Baptist Church of Fort Payne; Fort Payne Masonic Lodge #437, and the Alhambra Shrine Temple.
Funeral services will be 1:00pm Saturday, December 19, 2020, at the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in the Adamsburg Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 5:00 until 8:00pm at the funeral home.
He is survived by his son, Christopher R. Jones (Michaelle); step-daughter-in-law, Sharon King; step-daughters, Ronda Stone (Robert), Debbie Williams (Junior), and Vickie Starkey; sister, Millie Rice; grandchildren, Tucker and Hudson Jones; step-grandchildren, Shasta, Daniel, Jeremy, Noah, and Jered; and 5 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Foshee Jones; and siblings, Shirley Stephens and Neil Jones; & step-son, Ricky King
