Donald Gene Kimbrough, 71 of Athens, passed away on Tuesday, November 3, 2020 at his residence. Mr. Kimbrough was born December 23, 1948 to William Kimbrough and Nannie Mae Moore Kimbrough.
He is survived by his wife, Cathy Kimbrough; daughters, Brandy Ledbetter (Clay), LaDon Posey and Paula Pressnell (Josh); sons, Jason Kimbrough (Pam) and Steven Murphy (Tammy); sister, Eloise Kelley; 12 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren.
Preceded in death by his daughter, Christy Murphy; parents, William and Nannie Mae Kimbrough; brother, J.W. Kimbrough; sister, Linda Crews.
He was a member of New Oakland Baptist Church.
Funeral services for Mr. Kimbrough will be held on Thursday, November 5, 2020 at 3:00 p.m. at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with Dwight Rayburn, Frankie Murphy and Brent Logan officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 until 2:45 p.m. at the funeral prior to the service. Burial will be in Bottoms Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Christopher Williams, Steve Murphy, Kirk Murphy, Clay Ledbetter, Tate Ledbetter and Josh Pressnell.
