Paul Ray Teer, age 71, of Sumiton, passed away November 1, 2020 surrounded by his loving family. Paul was the best husband, father and grandfather. He was known as PEEPS by his beloved grandchildren. Paul dearly loved his family and his church, Dilworth Church of God, with all his heart. He was a humble and gentle man. He was a caregiver and a protector but he also loved to have fun. Paul was the best friend a person could wish for. He loved people but most of all he loved the Lord. Paul was a prayer warrior. He enjoyed fishing, guns, and was the best story teller. Paul also had the whitest legs. He is predeceased by his parents, Byron H. and Margie DeFoor. Paul is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Evelyn Teer; sons, Eric Teer (Lydia) and Brandon Teer (Kourtny); grandchildren Alli Faith, Ashton Hope, Izayah, Izrael, and Elijah Teer; siblings Ricky H. DeFoor (Pegi), Kathy Rector (Sherman) and Carolyn Crowe as well as his dog Abby Faith. Services for Paul will be held Wednesday, November 4, 2020 at New Horizon Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 1-2pm. Funeral service will begin at 2pm with burial following in Dilworth Cemetery. Paul’s laughter and light will be deeply missed by all that were blessed to know him.
