Paul Owen Bean, age 70 of Estill Springs, passed away on Sunday, October 11, 2020 at his residence surrounded by his loving family and friends. He was born in Stevenson, Alabama on May 5, 1950 to the late Ernest Clyde and Ruby Jewell (Owens) Bean. Before his retirement, Paul was employed as an insurance agent. He was an avid NASCAR fan and enjoyed attending races with family and friends, as well as hunting, fishing, and camping. But most of all, he cherished the time spent with his beloved family. In addition to his parents, Paul was preceded in death by his siblings, Betty Clyde Kennedy, Janeth Ellen Bean, and Jerry Wayne Bean. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of forty-seven years, Gwen Matthews Bean of Estill Springs; sons, Paul Wayne (Heather) Bean of Tullahoma, and Matthew Bryant (Shannon) Bean of Estill Springs; sister, Mary Jean Bean of Stevenson, Alabama; grandchildren, Brandon Lee Bean, Jaxon Malachi Bean, McKyla Reese Ordiway, Brylee Amanda Bean, and Fatja Ann Mayes; and great-granddaughter, Azariah Diane Marie Bean. Visitation will be from 5-8 pm on Wednesday, October 14, 2020 at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, October 15, 2020 in the Moore-Cortner Chapel with Bro. Johnny Stevens and Bro. Eddie Braddy officiating.
