Dorotha Deane Lee Dorotha Deane (Crawley) Lee, age 87 of Decherd, passed away on Sunday, October 11, 2020 at St. Thomas Rutherford in Murfreesboro. She was born in Sale Creek (Hamilton County), Tennessee on October 31, 1932 to the late James Melvin and Laura Isabelle (May) Crawley. Dorotha was a 1950 graduate of Sale Creek High School, where she was chosen FFA Sweetheart and was a member of 4-H Club in which she showed dairy heifers. She was also a member of Beta Club and played on the basketball team. Dorotha and her husband owned and operated their family farm, and she organized the Women’s Club at the Franklin County Farm Bureau for which she served as president for twenty-five years and director for forty years. She was also a very active member of CO-OP, Franklin County Livestock Association, and Soil Conservation. Dorotha enjoyed cooking, gardening (she especially loved her iris), and yard work, but most of all she cherished the time spent with her beloved family. She was a member of Cowan Church of Christ, where she had served as a Sunday School and Vacation Bible School teacher. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Edward Lee; daughter, Janice Renee Thomas; brothers, Roy Crawley, Milton Crawley, Eugene Crawley, Glen Crawley, and Merle Crawley; and sisters, Wilma Lee, Alma Slatton, Blanche Woodward, and Janette Hill. Dorotha is survived by her loving children, Robert Edward (Sandy) Lee Jr, Kenneth Darrell (Shelia) Lee, Timothy Duane (Terri) Lee, Patricia Nadine (David) Langford; thirteen grandchildren; thirty-two great-grandchildren; and her beloved dog, FiFi. Visitation will be from 12-3:30 pm on Wednesday, October 14, 2020 at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow at 3:30 pm in the Moore-Cortner Chapel with Bro. Dan Jones officiating. Interment will be at Franklin Memorial Gardens with Robert E. Lee III, James David Langford, Kenneth Darrell Lee Jr, Austin William Lee, Tucker Jameson Langford, and Chandler Ethan Overcast serving as pallbearers and Charles Jones, Troy Wells, Kelley Wilson, and Bo Rivers serving as honorary pallbearers. The family wishes to give their sincere thanks and gratitude to her devoted caretakers, Brenda Johnson, Jan Frittenburg, Teresa Farris and Mildred Gossett.
