David Grissom Lann, 68 of Birmingham, died Saturday, September 19, 2020. There will be a graveside service to honor the memory of David on Tuesday, September 22, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. in Elmwood Cemetery in Birmingham with Chad Holder officiating.
David was a native of Tupelo, Mississippi and graduated from Tupelo High School in 1972. He attended Mississippi College in Clinton, MS and graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree from Mississippi State University in Starkville, MS.
David worked for 40 years in the pre-need funeral market. He called on funeral homes in 3 states as a representative for The Forethought Group. David’s achievements include earning Rookie of the Year Award in 1994, Masters Award in 1997, and Daniel A. Hillenbrand Award in 1997 which was the highest award given by The Forethought Group. He also earned the President’s Award with Southland National in 2005.
He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Paula; his son, Graham and wife, Ashley; and his mother, Betty Houston.
