A Graveside Service for Mrs. Sherry Anna Rice, age 83 of Lineville, was held on Tuesday, September 8, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Lineville with Rev. Jerry Colquitt officiating.
Mrs. Rice passed away on Sunday, September 6, 2020. She was a native of Chatham County, GA and after 21 years as a devoted Air Force wife, Sherry and her family moved to Lineville, Al in 1973. A couple of years later Sherry and Harold traveled together pursuing careers in the resort business which included integral positions in feeding the athletes in the 1984 Summer and Winter Olympics. They eventually returned to their home in Lineville, Al in 1996. She was an active member of Lineville Baptist Church and sang in their choir.
Mrs. Rice is survived by her daughter, Karen Rice; son, Greg Rice; sisters, Ida Lynn Lariscy and Rene Glaser (Allen); several extended family members and a host of friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Harold D. Rice; parents, Thomas Clifton Taylor and Anna Floyd Taylor; brother, Thomas Clifton Taylor, Jr.
