Funeral services for Mr. Carey “Sammy” Moore, age 61, are scheduled for 2 PM, Friday, August 7, 2020 in the chapel of Pafford Funeral Home in Lexington. Interment will follow in Pafford Scotts Hill Cemetery. Mr. Moore passed away on Tuesday in Jackson. He was born August 11, 1958 in Jackson to the late Barney Oliver and Peggy Sue Mealler Moore. He was a self-employed HVAC worker, enjoyed fishing and watching nascar, and was a member of a pool league. Mr. Moore loved his family dearly. He was preceded in death by his brother, Johnny Moore and his sister, Annie Moore. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Janice Johnson Moore; two brothers, Barney Moore (Vaudene) and Jeffry Moore (Melissa); and three sisters, Ruthie Phifer (Roger), Joy Johnson (Bobby), and Kay Kolter (Court).
