Judith Ann Porter Smith, age 75 of Winchester, passed away Saturday, July 11, 2020 at STRHS-Winchester. She was born on September 8, 1944 in Seth, WV and was employed in banking for over 40 years. She began her career at Wells Fargo in California and later worked at First National Bank, where she was the first lady in Franklin County to be a branch manager. She retired from Citizens Community Bank and attended Cowan First Baptist Church. Judy enjoyed reading, vegetable and flower gardening and working crossword puzzles. She loved her home state of West Virginia and when she was able, she enjoyed trips to Gatlinburg. Jeopardy was her favorite game show and she was intelligent enough to know all the answers. Judy had a pure heart and loved her children and grandchildren dearly. She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Porter; mother and step-father, Roselee Mullins and Pat Mullins; children, Susie Smith Dial and Bobby Smith. Survivors include her husband, Carter Smith of Winchester; brother, Bob Porter of West Virginia; grandchildren, Kayla Davis of Nashville, Robert Dial of Murfreesboro and Jacob Dial of Winchester; sisters-in-law, Sue (Ted) Williams, Pam Brown and Patsy Rigsby, all of Winchester; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives. Graveside services will be 10 am Monday, July 13, 2020 at Franklin Memorial Gardens with Rev. L. Z. Johnson officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to a scholarship fund for her grandchildren at Citizens Community Bank.
