Bobby Lewis Huddleston, age 80 of Haleyville, Alabama passed away Thursday, June 18, 2020 at North Alabama Medical Center, Florence. He was born to Cecil and Gladys Huddleston in Karo, MS in 1939.

Graveside service will be Monday, June 22, 2020 at 4:00 p.m. at Winston Memorial Cemetery with Dr. Lance Hogan officiating.

Mr. Huddleston is survived by his wife, Lynda Huddleston; sons, Brett and Bryan Huddleston; two granddaughters, Emma Bay and Ivy Anna Huddleston; sister, Annarie Crittenden; nieces, nephews and his cat, Shay Boy.

Bobby served in the United States Navy, was a pattern maker at Haleyville Textile for 22 years. He moved his family to Cookeville, TN in 1986 to continue his trade with Wilson Sporting Goods. He loved his work there and was deeply involved with the college Tennessee Technical Institute. He made their uniforms and made the first NFL uniforms ever made by Wilson. After a car crash in 1992 while working in Soluta, SC, he lost a lot of his vision and had to retire to his hometown of Haleyville, AL. He wrote numerous bluegrass gospel songs and always gave the glory for his talent to God. He was a drummer, a song leader in church and he loved to sing. He spent many hours listening to bluegrass music. He was proud of his music collection and shared it with many musicians.

He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Marjorie and Dorothy. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him.
