Myra Sue Farley, age 81, passed away June 17, 2020. She is preceded in death by her husband, Albert Farley, Jr.; parents Sam and Ellen Yates and brother, Charles Yates (Bobbie). Sue is survived by her son, Robert E. Farley (Margaret); daughters, Vicki Rene’ Farley (Charlie Kinnaird), Rhonda Whiteley (Geoff), Faye Englebert (Pujam-George); grandchildren, Kelley Farley, Elaine Kinnaird, Austin Farley (Courtney, Aubrey Whiteley; great-grands, Ella Farley, James Farley; exchange grandchildren Veronica Secondo (Italy) Alex Schultze (Germany), Juri Kasal (Japan), Tanja Reichmuth (Switzerland), Sofia Rodani (Italy), Adele Degani (Italy), Ami Kasai (Japan), Palm Sungsuwon (Thailand) as well as several nieces and nephews. She attended Kilgore Baptist Church and was a member of Westwood Baptist Grief and Friendship Group. Sue drove a school bus for West Jefferson Elementary and High School for 20 years. She loved to read, do crafts, garden, cook, bird watch but especially “dig in the dirt”. She loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The family would like to extend special thanks to Southern Comfort New Beacon Hospice caregivers/friends, Vickey Allums, Jamesa Rodgers, Heather Polk, Donna Howard, William Persall, Ron Parker, Clint Moon, Chad Frye as well as other caregivers Jennifer Carstens, Amber Payne, Syrita Key, Chris Englebert and lifelong friend Mary Ann Robbins. Services will be held at New Horizon Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation, Saturday, June 20, 2020 from 4-6pm. Funeral service, Sunday, June 21, 2020 at 2:00 pm. Burial will follow in Shanghi Cemetery.
