Chloe Michaels Breland passed peacefully in her sleep on Wednesday, June 10 at Scottsboro, AL. She was born on October 7, 1926 in Langston, Alabama to Myrtle and Columbus Michaels. Shemarried John Paul Breland on December 26, 1953.
She is survived by her children, Barbara (David Keen) Breland of Scottsboro and David (Teresa) Breland of Lake Jackson, TX; grandchildren, Megan (Ryan) Alexander, John Breland, II and Kimberly (Kenneth) Coca; great-grandchildren, Paul and Caleb Alexander. Chloe is survived by her sister-in-law, Jurdy Michaels and her cousin, Hugh Michaels.
Mrs. Breland was preceded in death by her husband, John Paul Breland and her parents, Columbus and Myrtle Michaels, all of Langston, AL. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Jannie Louise Michaels, Virginia Wilson and Zola Michaels and her brothers, Fred Michaels, Robert Michaels, Pete Michaels, Willard Michaels and Paul Michaels.
Visitation will be Friday, June 12 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Langston United Methodist Church. The funeral service will follow with burial in Langston Cemetery.
