Mr. Mitchell “Mitch” Welch, Jr., age 45 of Vernon, AL, passed away Friday, May 29, 2020, in Columbus, MS.
Mr. Welch was born September 8, 1974, in Vernon, AL, to Mitchell Welch, Sr. and Cassie Welch. He was a mechanic with T&T Trucking in Columbus, and was also preceded in death by his sister, Wanda Kay Rollo, and his grandparents.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at 3:00 in the chapel of Chandler Funeral Home with Chris Rollo, Jody Godsey, and James Godsey officiating. A graveside service will follow at Christian Chapel. Visitation will be 1:30-3:00 prior to the service.
Pallbearers will be Jeremy Denton, Alex Denton, Phillip Murphy, Roy Welch, John Welch, Alan Vice, Tommy Welch, Shane Welch, Avery Welch, Dale Curry, and Mason Childs.
Survivors include his wife, Jennifer Welch, of Vernon, AL; his parents, Mitchell and Cassie Welch, of Vernon, AL; two daughters, Erica Lynn Welch of Beaverton, AL and Savannah Kay Welch of Hamilton, AL; three sons, Rodney Lee Welch of Vernon, AL, Alex (Sydney) Denton of Alexandria, VA, and Jeremy (Mallory) Denton of Muscle Shoals, AL; two grandchildren, A.J. and Bella Denton; and one brother, Daniel (Tammy) Welch of Vernon, AL.
