Jean Beckham Wiggins, 92, passed away peacefully in Jacksonville, FL on May 8, 2020. Born October 15, 1927 in Moundville, AL, Jean married the only love of her life, John, in 1949. They had been childhood sweethearts. They lived in Huntsville, AL for over 55 years. She was a longtime member of First Baptist Church in Huntsville. Jean’s greatest joy was being a wife and stay at home mother to their three children. She and John enjoyed following Alabama football and were and were season ticket holders for 35 years. Prior to moving to Jacksonville, FL, Jean lived in Birmingham for five years.

Mrs. Wiggins was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, John Wiggins, and her grandchildren, Bobby Wiggins, Katie Lipscomb, and Matt McQuiston. Survivors include her children, Suzanne McQuiston (Ricky) of Birmingham, AL, Steven H. Wiggins (Debbie) of Jacksonville, FL, and Melinda Geiger (Larry) of Beverly Hills, FL; grandchildren, Melissa Geiger, Brady Geiger (Ashley) and Michael Wiggins (Brooke); and great-grandchildren, Kendra, Ryder, Cooper and Carter Wiggins, Dylan Lipscomb and Amelia McQuiston.

A graveside service will be held at 1 pm. Saturday, May 23, 2020 at Oak Hill Cemetery in Moundville, AL with Chaplain Larry Geiger officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Carthage Presbyterian Church in Moundville, AL.
