James K. BurbageJames K. Burbage, age 92 of Huntland, passed away on Tuesday, April 21, 2020. He was born in McMinnville on November 22, 1927 to the late Wilbur Clifton and Delia (Byrd) Burbage. James served his country in the United States Army and retired after twenty-one years of service as a SFC. He was also the owner and operator of Burbage Plumbing and Electric. James could fix anything, a real “Jack of All Trades,” and he will be remembered for his infectious smile and easy going personality. He was a member of Huntland United Methodist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Steele Burbage; son, James Michael Burbage; and grandson, James Dewayne Burbage. James is survived by his daughter, Melanie Burbage of Huntsville; and his fur baby, Lucy. Private Services are planned with burial at Franklin Memorial Gardens. The register book and memorial cards will be available under the carport of Moore-Cortner Funeral Home from 3-6:00 pm on Thursday, April 23 and from 10 am-12:30 pm on Friday, April 24. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Huntland United Methodist Church, Multi-County Cancer Support Network (MCCSN), or a veteran’s charity of your choice.
