Mrs. Carolyn Dyer, age 82, passed away Friday, April 3, 2020 in Lexington. She was born April 19, 1937 in Henderson County to the late Garrett and Lavern Dickson Pollock. She was retired from Brown Shoe Company and enjoyed upholstery and quilting. She was a member of Dyer’s Chapel Church of Christ and enjoyed attending church. She was preceded in death by one brother, Garrett Pollock, Jr. and two sisters, Betty Dyer and Bobbie Vaughn. Survivors include her husband of 68 years, Billy Dyer; two sons, Mike Dyer (Ramona) and Kim Dyer; brother, Johnny Pollock; four grandchildren, Cameron, Carly, Mallory, and Blakley; and four great grandchild, Statton, Brooklyn, Karysn, and Maren. Private, family only graveside services for Mrs. Dyer will be Sunday at Dyer’s Chapel Cemetery. Because of the Covid-19 concerns, and respecting the 10 or less group size, for the safety of everyone’s family there will be no visitation or services at Pafford Funeral Home.
